UMTEA是谁?

让我们从一次因茶而起的旅行说起。因为爱茶,所以探访全球茶叶原产地的念头一直在心头萦绕。那些别人口中听闻的茶山、庄园和农场不能亲身涉足,总有一种无法形容的缺失感。经过整整一年的时间,我们收集资料、规划行程、联络当地向导。2008年3月至2013年9月的这段时间,一直在路上的感觉自由而真实。这些年我们去过很多国家,遇见了很多与土地打交道的人。与那些一辈子守着几亩茶园和农场的茶人与果农在一起,听他们讲述自己与土地的故事;感受作物丰收时他们笑容的温度;学习与一茶一果有关的一切。质朴勤奋的果实应该被更多人知道,我们很荣幸能与他们相识,并把这些遥远的收获带回到我们生活的城市。


Who is UMTEA? Let me tell from one trip started because of the tea. As I love tea, the thought to visit the origin place of the tea globally has been lingering in my mind. There is always a sense of indescribable missing if I could not personally go to the tea-mountains, fincas and farms heard from others. After the whole year, we gathered the information, planned the route of travel and contacted the local guide. During the period from March 2008 to September 2013, I always had the free and true feeling on the road. Over the years, we have been to many countries and met a lot of people who work on the land. We stayed together with the teamen and orchardmen who had worked on the tea garden and farm of less outstanding size for their entire Life, and listened to their stories of the land; and felt the joy of the smile on their faces harvesting the crops; and learned everything related to teas and fruits. It is our great honor to be acquainted with them and take back the distant harvest to our city where we are living in. The fruits of plainness and diligence should have been known by more people.




们从世界各地带回51种茶,花果茶、马黛茶、路易博士茶、黑茶、红茶、乌龙茶、黄茶、白茶、绿茶。这51种茶无论从外观、口感、还是香气上,都有自己的特色。就像每个人都有自己的脾气一样,当我们遇见一款与自己脾气相投的茶,会像久别重逢的老友般心照不宣。我们也会在一杯茶散发出的迷人香气中,怀念旧时光里的温情与念念不忘。深耕制茶工艺的茶人师傅们将不同的原料融合在一起,经由滋味与温度的延伸,我们分享茶汤中的人情冷暖。这便是我们心中,一杯茶的生活美学。


We brought back 51 types of tea from around the world: flower tea, Yerba mate, Dr. Louis tea, dark green tea, black tea, oolong tea, yellow tea, white tea and green tea. These 51 teas all have their own characteristics in terms of appearance, taste and aroma. Just like everyone has their own temperament, when we meet a tea congenial with our temper, we will find the tacit consent like the reunion of old friends after a long separation. We will also cherish the tender feelings and constant memory of the past days from the charming aroma in a cup of tea. The teamen who excels the deep culture and tea-making process mixed the different raw materials together, and let it extend through the taste and temperature, so that we can share the warm feelings from the tea. This is the very life aesthetics from a cup of tea in our hearts.




茶应该有好的茶器承载,我们为每种茶设计并烧制适合的茶器。在寻茶旅行的途中,拜访那些同样与泥土打交道的手艺人。烧好的茶器在窑炉中发出细微而清脆的声响,像是一根琴弦在最美的音符崩断,既轻柔又激烈,能看着那些一点一点被赋予灵魂的泥土从白坯变成茶器,对于我们来说是一件即幸运又荣幸的事。


The good tea should be held with good tea set, so we designed and fired the tea set suitable for each tea. On the way of seeking tea, we visited those craftmen who also work on the soil. The subtle and loud sound from the fired tea set in the kiln was just like a string breaking from the most melodious note. Soft and intense, we felt both lucky and honored to see the soil bestowed with soul turn from the plain blank to the tea set.




了能将茶与器天生的温度和质感通过最合适的载体,专递到爱它的人手中。我们选择对自然环境不会造成负担的材料,用减法去设计每一款茶的包装。用最原始的方式表达初见那些茶与果实的感受,在我们的茶罐上留有许多隐秘的信息,那些图形与数字,是风卷着茶香吹在脸上的味道,是透过树叶看天空时的颜色,是那些无法用语言描述的美好。也是我们要做的,一场关于美学的实验。


In order to convey the natural temperature and texture of tea and set through the most suitable carrier to the hands of those who love it, we chose the materials which will not pose detrimental effect on the natural environment, and designed the packaging for each kind of tea with the minimized materials. With the most primitive way, we expressed the feelings of the first glance of those teas and fruits. There is lots of hidden information on our caddies. Those figures and numbers are the flavor of wind mixed with the tea blowing on the face, and are the color of the sky seen through the leaves as well as the happiness indescribable by words. They are also an experiment on aesthetics we are going to carry out.
